About Pioneer Trail Reserve

At Pioneer Trail Reserve, the preservation of our agricultural heritage and natural resources are extremely important to us. Our pine forests, agricultural soils, and wetlands remove approximately one metric ton of carbon per acre, per year for the atmosphere, purifying the air we breathe. Preserving our natural wetlands, maintaining our tree forests, and facilitating healthy pasture growth are among our primary goals at PTR.

As much of Central Florida has given way to sprawling development, Pioneer Trail Reserve has been preserved in time. Having over two thirds of its original lands placed into a conservation program, you now have the rare opportunity to own one of the ranches on this historic farm for yourself. The ranches average 30 acres in size, are teeming with wildlife, and are fully encompassed by nature’s beauty and peace.

Each ranch awaits your personal touch and distinctive layout. Choose the location of your home and barn, the configuration of your pasture and fencing, and the meander of your drive. Guide all of these aspects and more as you create your very own private reserve.

We are surrounded by the forests and wetlands of Longleaf Pine Preserve, one of the largest and most beautiful tracts of Volusia County’s many conservation lands. Longleaf provides us access to approximately 12,000 acres of public conservation lands and is literally just a step outside our gates. Longleaf Pine Preserve was assembled by Volusia County as a part of the Volusia Forever program, which has acquired over 32,000 acres since 2000. A portion of Longleaf Pine Preserve was originally a part of Pioneer Trail Reserve.
